One of the easiest ways for city dwellers to pass the time while commuting in NYC is to read the numerous advertisements on the subway trains. These ads run the gamut—everything from whiskey ads to airline offers. One particular ad campaign that caught my eye a while back was for the Brooklyn Academy of Music, or BAM.

I have never seen a Charlie Chaplin movie in its entirety. Not that I haven’t had an interest, it just hasn’t happened. Although I appreciate his contributions to cinema, it’s his life that I’ve always found the most fascinating. You can learn all about the man in the new musical Chaplin, with tickets on sale thru Feb. 13, 2013.
