Tours Galore—See NYC by Bus!
One of the best ways to see the sights of NYC is by bus. I’m not talking about the uptown and crosstown MTA buses—though those are definitely ways to experience the city by bus—but via professional tour bus companies. For visitors and locals alike, whether you want a hop-on, hop-off experience that takes you to some of the most iconic spots in all of NYC or tour that gives you an interactive look at the heart of Midtown, I have the perfect tour suggestions for you.
Open Loop – Open Look is one of the newer sightseeing bus tour companies in NYC. The double-decker buses have tour routes in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Tour package options include an All Loops Bus Ticket—where you get passes for the two-hour Hop-On Hop Off Downtown Loop (Take Fifth Ave. down past the Empire State Building and then through downtown Manhattan), two-hour Hop-On Hop-Off Uptown Loop (covers Midtown and Upper Manhattan, including theaters, museums and more), two-hour Night Tour and two-hour Brooklyn Tour—and a là carte options where you can purchase the tours individually. With the All Loops tours, you can also get packages that include all tours, free admission to the Museum of the City of New York, as well as admission to either the Museum of Modern Art, Intrepid Museum & Space Shuttle Pavilion or the Statue of Liberty Express (a 60-minute cruise that takes you on New York Harbor for amazing views of Lady Liberty). Buses are equipped with pre-recorded audio-guides in nine languages and are wheelchair accessible. Get 1-, 2-, 3- or 5-day tickets! Also, Open Loop’s exclusive real-time “Where’s my Bus?” tracking allows to check the location of the next bus from your mobile device.
