Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola

There are plenty of places to ring in the New Year in NYC—from a casual night at a low-key club to a glamorous soiree in one the city’s fanciest eateries or even a jaunt around the Big Apple’s lush green spaces. Tina McLelland has been a concierge for eight years, the past three of which she has spent at her current post in the Four Seasons Hotel New York. If you are not celebrating at the hotel’s new plush TY Bar for its Louis Roederer Cristal event for New Year's Eve, she suggests the following options around town.

A trip to Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola, right near the southwest corner of Central Park, is “a glamorous way to ring in the New Year,” McLelland says. “There will be a season-inspired menu, which will make your mouth water, and music by the renowned Wynton Marsalis Quintet. It’s an evening that will leave you with wonderful memories.” The group will perform a mix of their originals, as well as jazz favorites.

Daniel

“If you prefer an elegant, contemporary culinary experience, I would highly recommend the New Year's Eve Gala at Daniel,” McLelland says.  On New Year’s Eve, the restaurant will offer a decadent six-course white truffle tasting menu, with a wine pairing option. “There will be a champagne toast at midnight, with a DJ and dancing,” McLelland says. “A last indulgence before confronting those New Year's resolutions.”

For those that want to start their New Year with an adrenaline rush, “try the Midnight Run in Central Park,” McLelland suggests. “The party starts at 10 p.m.; however, it really gets going at 11:59 p.m., when the four-mile run commences as the clock strikes midnight, illuminated by free fireworks!”
