National Lighthouse Museum
Located in St. George, Staten Island, on the site of the former U.S. Lighthouse Service General Depot, the National Lighthouse Museum is devoted to the preservation of lighthouses—as well as the interpretation of objects related to lighthouses—throughout the nation. While at the museum, visitors learn about the heritage of the American lighthouse through educational programs, publications, films, festivals, living history, lighthouse trails, conferences and more. The museum is adjacent to the Staten Island Ferry.
Hours: Tu-Su 11 am-5 pm
Winter hours: Tu-Su 11 am-4 pm
Admission: $5 adults, $4 seniors/military, $3 students and children over 12
