The Ferryman

(Previews began Oct. 2, 2018, opened Oct. 21, 2018, tickets on sale thru Feb. 17, 2019)

(3 hrs 15 mins)

A hit in London’s West End, Jez Butterworth’s comedy drama, which won the 2017 Olivier Award for Best New Play, is set in rural Northern Ireland in 1981 at harvest time. But there is no escaping the past or the Troubles between the IRA and the Protestatnt Unionists. A man’s body, missing for 10 years and newly found in a peat bog with a bullet hole in its head, sets the Carney family tragedy in motion. Sam Mendes directs.
