Shape Up NYC

Whether you are visiting the city, or are a native New Yorker, whether you are a fitness Ninja warrior, or sweat with fear just thinking about trying a kettle bell class, you can burn calories  (at your own pace and level) and feel great doing it at a free exercise class, courtesy of the city’s Shape Up NYC program. These drop-in fitness programs (no advance registration required), are given throughout the five boroughs at various centers, and run the gamut from exercise for the timid and out of shape (Intro to Fitness: Exercise for Couch Potatoes) to those who love to keep in shape (Boot Camp, Cardio Blast Fitness, Cardio Sculpt and much more). All classes are 60 minutes: All that is required is that you bring a lock for classes held at recreation centers. Visit website for schedules.
