Bar Jamón

Sister restaurant to neighboring Casa Mono, this popular after-work destination offers small plates traditional to the Catalonia region, such as marinated calamari, duck liver with apricots and octopus with spicy garbanzo beans. Celebrity sightings are common at this little sister to Silvano Marchetto’s Da Silvano, where patrons can consume bowls of pasta with leeks and artichokes, creamy rigatoni with turkey sausage or pork loin, as well as a tuna, brie and eggplant panini. Cash only. L & D (daily). $$$

Bar Primi

Chef Andrew Carmellini does away with the Italian main course and emphasizes appetizers and pastas on his traditional menu, from meatballs filled with fontina to lamb amatriciana. An amaro makes a nice close to any meal here. L (M-F), D (nightly), Brunch (Sa & Su). $$$

Bar Sardine

A corner bar with a casual air that serves up creative, modern cocktails (black pepper grasshopper: Kringle Cream liqueur, cacao, Wondermint, almond milk, black pepper) alongside fresh oysters and seasonal small plates (cod fritters with lemon-mayo; Arctic char tartare with avocado and "everything" pretzels) amid a vaguely vintage decor. Bar SixtyFive at Rainbow Room

NYC's tallest terrace, located inside the Rainbow Room atop Rockefeller Plaza, serves elaborate housemade specialty cocktails made by a tenured and renowned bar staff, offers luxe small plates such as lobster rolls and caviar, and features breathtaking, panoramic views of the entire city. D (M-Sa). 

Bar Suzette

This creperie offers savory and sweet options. Flavor combinations include squash and goat cheese, truffled hummus, spinach and cheese, honey and almonds, as well as Nutella (with or without fresh strawberries and/or bananas).  B, L & D (daily). $

Bar Uni

Creative seafood dishes (uni shooter with quail egg, ikura and sake, wild salmon toast with horseradish, cream) served alongside a Japanese whiskey-oriented cocktail menu that also boasts three beers on tap, as well as sakes and shochu. D (Tu-Su). $$

Bar Veloce

A lengthy selection of wine, grappa, sake, spirits and beer can go with savory bruschettes, paninis, meats and cheeses. Su-Th 5:00 pm-2:00 am, F & Sa 5:00 pm-3:00 am. $$
