Located in an imposing town house, this swanky (but relaxed) martini bar serves signature specialty martinis as well as classic cocktails. Mon-Fri 5 p.m.-2 a.m., Sat 6 p.m.-3 a.m., Sun noon-7 p.m.

Cielo

Revelers groove to tunes spun by a rotating roster of international DJs at this Meatpacking District hot spot.

Cienfuegos

This Cuban rum-themed lounge features drinks created by mixologist Charlotte Voisey and a menu of crab croquettes with guava sauce, octopus ceviche and chickpea and chorizo hash with crispy poached egg. Nightly 6 p.m.-2 a.m.

Circa Tabac

One of NYC’s few indoor venues exempt from the tobacco ban, this lounge offers killer martinis and over 150 brands of cigars and cigarettes. Nightly from 5 p.m.

City Swiggers

The beer store stocks hundreds of bottles and cans, including limited edition and specialty brews. 14 rotating taps offer guests growler fill-ups to-go or full pours and beer flights to stay. 

Cleopatra's Needle

Nightly live jazz and jam sessions make this Uptown venue swing.

Clos New York

The 26-seat wine bar, decorated with fine art from local galleries, specializes in single vineyard and Old World wines by the glass (up to 60), complemented by pâté, caviar, terrines, cheese and charcuterie. Mon-Fri 5 p.m.-midnight, Sat & Sun noon-midnight.

Club Macanudo

This swanky smoke shrine offers 130 cigar brands, private humidors, signature cocktails (such as the Granhattan—High West Double Rye, sweet vermouth and Grand Marnier) and international fare. Mon-Tues noon-1 a.m., Wed-Sat noon-2 a.m., Sun noon-10 p.m.

Comedy Cellar

The Greenwich Village spot is known for unexpected appearances from such famous comedians as Chris Rock, Wanda Sykes, Jon Stewart and Dave Chappelle.

Continental

No libation costs more than $5 and guests can order five middle-shelf shots for $12, at this storied punk-era NYC watering hole, which closes its doors forever in July due to a change in building ownership. Beware: Guests who are heard using the word "literally" inside of this venue will be politely escorted out.
