Anthology Film Archives

Skip the latest blockbusters and catch up on avant-garde and experimental cinema at this East Village center for film study and preservation. Throughout the year, Anthology screens its Essential Cinema collection as well as retrospectives, series and special events such as themed movie marathon celebrations of artists’ works. Tickets are available at the box office on the day of the show.

Arlene’s Grocery

Several bands, running the gamut from hard rock to indie, old-school to alt and country to punk, perform nightly at this Lower East Side music club and dive bar, housed in a former grocery and butcher shop.

Live chamber music is performed year-round in a 102-foot, 1899 steel barge moored on the Brooklyn side of the East River at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge.

Admission: $40, $35 seniors, $20 students and children under 16 accompanied by an adult
