Fiasco Theater’s reimagining of the 1981 Stephen Sondheim/George Furth musical follows three friends as they mature from showbiz wannabes to acclaimed theater artists, whose compromises on the road to success have seriously undermined their once trusting and optimistic relationships. Based on the George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart play about fame, fortune and old friends, the show is told in reverse order, beginning in the present and traveling backward in time.
