In my youth, I frequented tanning salons on a regular basis, being an L.A. baby. I looked thinner, darker and forever young. But as we all know, soaking up too many UV rays is a thing of the past. Thanks to science and the beauty industry, we now have a wide range of products to give us everything from a subtle sun-kissed appearance to a deep, dark tan. But not all self-tanners are created equally. When this editor asked a friend to join her in the pursuit of the fake glow, she was answered with a simple, "I'm done with that phase of my life." It is a risk! In the name of skin and safe tanning, I pulled on the gloves that accompanied my bottles of Vita Liberata self-tanning products, closed my eyes and waited for my new tan to appear. The results were fantastic. On my naturally ghost-white complexion, I went for the pHenomenal in Fair (for a tan that lasts up to 3 weeks!) and the un-tinted tan Lotion, (a perfect product for those who might get a little sloppy in application, like myself). Both gave me true, natural-looking tans and felt super enriching for my skin. Double duty. Highly recommend.
