A horse show—in the middle of Manhattan? Waitta minute…this isn’t Kentucky! No, it’s not. But it is the city of endless surprises. From Sept. 18-21, the first-ever outdoor equestrian sporting event will be coming to New York City. Central Park, to be exact. The event will showcase some of the best show jumpers and dressage riders in the world at Trump Rink (formerly Wollman Rink, on the east side of Central Park, btw 62nd and 63rd sts.). Sept. 18’s event will also be televised live on NBC sports from 7-8:30 p.m., which will also be the first live prime-time television event for equestrian sports on a major sports network.
