A small beach hamlet on Long Island serves as inspiration for both the name and chilled-out atmosphere of this recently opened lounge on Spring Street. You can practically smell the salty ocean air at this beachy bar, with its vintage Scuba gear, white picnic tables, Americana accents, weathered wooden shelves and driftwood lighting. Head mixologist Jeremy Strawn aims to keep Lazy Point’s hand-crafted cocktails exciting by using familiar ingredients in simple, surprising concoctions. Highlights include the Pistachio Mule (house-infused pistachio vodka, lime and ginger), Bramble Rose (Hayman’s Gin, lemon and homemade rose jam) and the Volstead (Reyka Vodka, St. Germaine, prosecco, lemon and strawberry). A welcome addition to an otherwise quiet section of the neighborhood, Lazy Point is practically a trip to the seaside—sans sunscreen.
