Food Imitates Art

Food and art lovers, mark your calendars: A selection of Upper East Side chefs are coming together at Sotheby’s to cook up a mélange of dishes inspired by artwork up for auction this fall at The Art of Food. This glamorous and tasty event takes place 7-10 p.m. on Oct. 13th and is hosted by chef Michael White of such Vaucluse and fashion designer Nicole Miller. Get a taste of the New York art world and mingle with chefs and guests while sampling such dishes as pâté en croûte from White’s Vaucluse. Other restaurants represented include Le Cirque, Fred’s Barneys New York and the Cecil. A portion of the event’s proceeds go to Citymeals-on Wheels, a charitable organization that prepares and delivers meals to more than 18,000 elderly, homebound New Yorkers annually. General admission tickets are $146.99 and VIP tickets are $217.75, including sales tax.
