Chef's Table, Please

New York Central, the fine dining restaurant at the Grand Hyatt New York

So, you are in New York for pleasure. Or business. Or both. And you are traveling with a group of friends. Or colleagues. Or both. Wouldn't it be fun to treat yourself to a VIP evening, a wine dinner at a chef's table? Well, every second Friday of every month, New York Central, the high-end restaurant at the Grand Hyatt New York will be hosting just such wine dinners. While the dinners are designed for eight guests, the tables can be booked for an entire party of eight, or as couples, singles or a smaller group. Chef Daron Lee (who hails from such restaurants as Scarpetta and Villard Michel Richard) will be creating seasonal and imaginative menus, offering such dishes as salmon tartare with cucumber guacamole and limoncello drops, seared diver scallop with baby root vegetables, and Long Island duck breast with sweet corn ratatouille. Each course will be carefully paired with an appropriate wine.
