Men take pride in their appearance just as much as the ladies, and for a few tips from a pro head to Saks Fifth Avenue March 21 from 3 to 7 p.m. for a men’s grooming event hosted by men’s skincare company La Mer. The first time I went to Chef 28 was a few years ago. It is the go-to happy hour hangout for two of my friends that work in the area, and I was told I had to try the lychee martini—complete with two large pieces of lychee floating in the heavenly concoction.

New York City steak houses are legendary, and one of my favorites is Benjamin Steakhouse in Midtown East. I had the opportunity to dine at the restaurant for a work event last year, and the establishment exudes “Old New York” as soon as you enter.

Waffles are one of my favorite foods and waffle sandwiches from Waffle & Wolf just make a good food even better.

The 20th Original GLBT Expo heads to NYC’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center this weekend (Sat., March 9th & Sun., March 10th). The two-day event will be chock-full of activities, including an appearance by entertainer Amanda Lepore, Q&A with Project Runway Season 4 contestant and activist Jack Mackenroth, performance by singer Jade Starling and much more.

I love brewery tours: you get to try new beers and see how they’re made. I’ve been on quite a few tours around the country (and in Ireland), but one of my favorites is right here in New York. Williamsburg's Brooklyn Brewery offers an extensive tour of its brewhouse followed by a beer tasting.

Last week I finally got a chance to visit Guy’s American Kitchen & Bar, Food Network star Guy Fieri’s enormous Times Square eatery. We walked through the bar and downstairs to the basement dining space, passing a window into the restaurant’s huge kitchen, where you can watch a slew of cooks create your meal.
