Scottish Cashmere Brand Brora To Open Up First NYC Location Next Week

When it comes to clothing, New Yorkers have mastered the fine art of perfectly pairing style with practicality. And, with city folk battling a blustery November, lighter apparel is now replaced with sleek coats, boots and tons of durable accessories. New Yorkers and visitors alike will now have a chance to shop cozy—yet stylish—cashmere when Scottish cashmere brand Brora opens up its first NYC location November 11. The 600-square-foot Upper East Side boutique will carry the full Brora ready-to-wear, accessories and home collections for men, women and children. Although the brand’s cashmere is a must, shoppers can also add a few more fabrics to their wardrobe (think tweed, silk and wool clothing). Capitalizing on its U.K. roots, the store is “quintessentially English,” with hand-blocked wallpaper, chandeliers and antique mirror and brass fittings. Although city-dwellers are known for their love of black, each seasonal collection will include cashmere in at least 18 unique colors.

The brand has recently introduced capsule collections with guest designers including Louise Gray, Sophie Dahl, Michael van der Ham and Hello Kitty. For more information, click here.
