Luxury clothing and accessories brand Porsche Design recently moved its Midtown East store a few blocks south to a new, sleek space at 501 Madison Avenue. The new location is spacious, with a second floor devoted to sportswear and luggage. Attentive salespeople are at your service to help with any questions.

The entire store is gleaming with calming music to accompany your shopping experience. It’s full of sleek, high-end clothing in mostly understated colors and silhouettes, like simple black jackets and white button-downs. Porsche’s accessories—including watches, glasses, pens and women’s handbags—are also available. Sunglasses are displayed against a brightly lit wall while watches are presented like museum artifacts in glass cases.

Porsche Design began in 1972 as a spin-off of the Porsche car company. Their first product was an all-black watch, created purely for functionality instead of appearance. This aesthetic continues today with watches, accessories and clothing designed more for quality than their look—though the minimalist design of Porsche’s products has become iconic.
