Endless Antiques at The Manhattan Art and Antiques Center

Endless Antiques at The Manhattan Art and Antiques Center

Last night, I ventured into Midtown East’s The Manhattan Art and Antiques Center, a three-level indoor mall of galleries full of a wide assortment of antique finds. When I walked in, I was amazed at the size of the space, which spans almost an entire city block. Antiques shoppers could spend an entire day perusing the over 100 galleries packed into the Center.

Some of the shops are comprised of more than one gallery room, like Hadassa Antiques, which felt like an endless collection of sculptures, furniture and fine art. Flying Crane Antiques Ltd. also occupies a large area of the Center with a focus on Asian art. Flying Crane is looking forward to Asia Week New York in March when they will exhibit at the Asia Art Fair and feature a smaller exhibition in the gallery.

My favorites were Treasures & Pleasures, which offers a selection of vintage purses and jewelry and Hoffman-Gampetro, which features gorgeous dishware and glasses among other items. Check out the Center’s complete list of galleries here or browse their wares by category here.
