There's a new rooftop bar in Midtown and its got some mega hitters behind it. As Summer approaches, check out NYC's newest addition located at what’s soon-to-be The Kixby, a 13-floor hotel property at 45 W. 35th St. The indoor-outdoor rooftop property The Lookup will be the newest concept from Chris Barish and wife Julie Mulligan of Black Tap Craft Beer & Burgers, the international restaurant sensation world famous CrazyShake™ milkshakes.

Designed by the award winning architecture and design firm Rockwell Group, the 2,200-square-foot space will embody the warm season with playful colors, complimented by black and white monochrome elements to create a crisp and clean aesthetic. The rooftop is divided into three zones with stadium seating, high-top tables and lounge areas - all anchored by a central peninsula bar for lively afternoons and memorable nights. (approx. 65 seats outdoors / approx. 50 seats indoors)

Barish and Mulligan teamed up with Pioneer Mixologist Pamela Wiznitzer (formerly of Seamstress, The Dead Rabbit, among others) to create a craft cocktail menu with vibrant hues, available in single and select large format sizes (prices start at $8). For quick and easy ordering, the menu will list out the offerings numerically and will include items such as: #1 with Safflower Vodka, Passionfruit, Coconut Water, Lemon and Champagne, #2 with Tequila, grapefruit, lime juice, Ancho reyes verde, Pomegranate, Pink sea salt, #3 large format with Blue Majik white rum, cachaca, banana, lemon, Lemongrass, among others.

The Lookup will also offer elevated bar food items ($8-$20) such as unique dips like Whipped Green Chile Beer Cheese and Sriracha Carrot Hummus, seasoned popcorn such as Truffle Parmesan and Caramel & Black Pepper , Rosé infused Meyer Lemon Shrimp Cocktail, pressed bar sandwiches with vegetarian options, in addition to rotating desserts.
