Where to Dine on Christmas Day in NYC

Skip the cooking and head to an NYC restaurant for your Christmas dinner. Here are a few eateries we like that are open for the holidays.

East Village Italian restaurant Paprika will be serving their regular menu all day on the 25th. They will also feature specials like roasted lobster soup and roasted leg of lamb with potatoes and vegetables.

In Midtown, find upscale Cuban cuisine at Victor’s Café, which will offer two prix-fixe menus on the 25th. Both menus feature three courses with a variety of appetizers, meat or seafood entrees and Cuban desserts like pudin de pan and churros con tres salsas.

Down in Greenwich Village, Spanish eatery Sevilla Restaurant & Bar will offer their regular menu throughout the day. With many varieties of paella, shrimp and other fish dishes, there’s something for every seafood lover.

Hell’s Kitchen’s PRINT. Restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner on Christmas Day. Their regular, seasonal menu is available in addition to a few special holiday dishes prepared by Executive Chef Charles Rodriguez and Pastry Chef Emily Wallendjack, like a filet mignon entrée and toffee pudding for dessert. Dinner begins at 3 p.m.

Featuring Modern Chinese cuisine, the Flatiron District’s KOA Restaurant will feature a five-course Christmas dinner that includes lobster, beef and their specially crafted SORBA noodles.

Give yourself a culinary Christmas present with dinner at one of famed French chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s New York restaurants. At the southwest corner of Central Park, both Jean-Georges and Nougatine will offer a prix fixe menu for lunch and dinner featuring dishes like sautéed black sea bass and Japanese risotto. Many of his other spots around the city, including SoHo’s The Mercer Kitchen and the Upper East Side’s JoJo, will also feature special menus.
