Weekend Brunch at Pilar Cuban Eatery

Weekend Brunch at Pilar Cuban Eatery

Weekend brunch is a popular pastime in NYC and now foodies have a new option in Brooklyn when it comes to making those “not quite breakfast/not quite lunch” plans. On Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., diners can enjoy Cuban comfort food at Pilar Cuban Eatery.

While lively Cuban music emanates from the sound system, patrons at this Bedford-Stuyvesant outpost—with an colorful interior comparable to the streets of Havana, Cuba—can peruse an extensive menu of reasonably priced fare, including: empanadas (think picadillo, with Angus ground beef, sofrito, olives and raisins; chicken, with sofrito, olives and raisins; creamed spinach and gruyere cheese; and bacalao and potato, with salt cod and sofrito); croquetas (hand-rolled, creamy fritters); Tortilla Espanola, a traditional Spanish omelet of potatoes and onions; avocado & tomato salad; a bunch of breakfast sandwiches, with sweet plantains among the add ins; a creative spin on huevos, with yuca-chorizo hash; and more.

Additionally, the restaurant now serves lunch. For more information, click here.
