Señor Frog’s Brings Its Party Atmosphere to NYC

Known for its energetic party atmosphere, Señor Frog’s, the Mexican fun-food restaurant with locations in the Caribbean, Bahamas, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Florida, Las Vegas and Myrtle Beach, has opened its first-ever northeast location in the heart of Times Square.

At the bi-level bar and grill—decked out with hundreds of unconventional signs and banners with avant-garde brand quotes, such as “due to budget cuts, the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off” and “consciousness: that annoying time between naps”—visitors can shop thousands of branded items at the top floor retail store and head down the spiral staircase to enjoy delectable bites (with creative presentations) in the main dining room, including the Mexican Platter, a heaping helping of grilled flank steak, red mini-enchilada, mini chicken chimichanga, cheese-stuffed jalapeños, rice and refried beans; the Tex-Mex Tacos—crispy tortilla shells stuffed with chili con carne, cheese mix, black olives and sour cream; the TNT Box, which comes in a large dynamite box comically marked “DANGER” with spicy chicken wings and an assortment of sauces; The Mousetrap Quesadilla, served on a mouse trap with melted Jack cheese stuffed inside a grilled flour tortilla and served with guacamole, pico de gallo, jalapeños, chives and sour cream; and the Ice Cream Truck, presented in a miniature ice cream truck, filled with chocolate and vanilla bowls on the “roof,” and ice cream cones on the back handles of the truck.

When it comes to creative cocktails, visitors can opt for specialty selections served in Señor Frog’s famed yardstick such as The Frog’s Buster, Frog’s Punch, Bahama Mama, the Reggae Beat and Caribbean Daiquiri.

Although the NYC location is a more “PG” version when compared to its Cancun or Aruba counterparts (no wet T-shirt or foam parties during late hours), weekly programming includes Industry Night on Mondays, Taco Tuesdays, Ladies Night on Wednesdays, College & Beer Pong Night on Thursdays, International Night on Fridays, and Sunday Brunch Day. Live music is featured nightly.

The restaurant offers various family-friendly programming during lunch and early dinner hours (think karaoke, dance-offs, and sing-a-longs) while the adult fiesta begins around 11 p.m. nightly.
