Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth at Milk & Cookies Bakery

Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth at Milk & Cookies Bakery

Recently, I met up with a friend I hadn’t seen in almost two years. I knew we’d  bypass the bars, but I wasn’t quite sure of how to spend a few memorable after-work hours, sans a trip to a watering hole. I made the sarcastic suggestion to get milk and cookies, and with one to-the-point Google search, that’s exactly what we did. The aptly named Milk & Cookies Bakery rests on a residential street in the West Village. The colorful display of large paper lanterns and flowers in the shop’s window helps the space stand out against the uniformed brownstones that line either side of the quiet street. Inside the intimate eatery, visitors can satisfy their sweet tooth by devouring a number of cookies and other pastries—from old favorites, like chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin and snickerdoodles; to new classics, including s’mores, Bacon Smacks and Salted Oat Surprise. I chose a sugar cookie with M&M's, which provided the perfect amount of chewy sweetness, while my friend enjoyed a Magic Bar and ice-cold glass of milk. Best part? You can customize the experience by creating your very own flavor combination!
