NYC Summer Restaurant Week Starts Today!

NYC’s Summer Restaurant Week starts today, which means thru August 14 foodies can score three-course meals at some of the city’s best eateries for a fraction of the cost (think $25 lunch options and $38 dinner steals)! Here are a few to check out below.
In the Flatiron District, Asellina—the sleek Italian eatery located in the Gansevoort Park Avenue NYC is offering a lunch menu and dinner menu as part of Restaurant Week. What to expect? Well, lunchtime offerings include a delectable appetizer of farro and calamari & shrimp salad, with basil, heirloom tomatoes, cucumber and olives. Both menus feature the restaurant’s savory Black Pizza, with shaved asparagus, shrimp, robiola and lemon. To view the complete menus, click here.

Maybe seasonal American cuisine is more up you alley. If that’s the case, The Regency Bar & Grill at Loews Regency Hotel on the Upper East Side, is offering three-course prix fixe menus for both weekend brunch, priced at $25 and dinner for a wallet-friendly $38, which will be available Monday thru Sunday. Foodies can chow down on an assortment of pastries before digging into the Huevos Rancheros for brunch. Satisfy your sweet tooth with the Sweet Corn Panna Cotta, topped with cherry sorbet and cornbread crumble. For dinner, start with the seasonal Red Quinoa Salad, prepared with asparagus, pecans and pomegranate vinaigrette, followed by the Rigatoni or Skate Piri Piri, completed with Nectarine Granite, atop yogurt cake and almond nougatine.  View the menus here.

Those pairing dinner with a show might want to head to a Theater District outpost. Suggestions? Try Hakkasan New York. The Times Square-area Chinese restaurant features a three-course prix fixe dinner menu where diners can choose from popular dishes like the Hakka Steamed Dim Sum Platter, Spicy Prawn, and Stir-fry Black Pepper Rib-Eye Beef with Merlot. Guests can add on a special curated beverage pairing for an additional $28 a person. Check out the rest of the menu here.

Folks can find more Italian fare at the Flatiron District’s Obicà Mozzarella Bar, Pizza e Cucina, which is offering three-course lunch and dinner menus. Dinner guests can choose from several of Obicà’s popular dishes, such as the Caprese Classica, served with the freshest handmade Mozzarella di Bufala, delivered from Italy twice per week, or the Pizza al Tartufo di Norcia, made with black truffle from Norica. For lunch, the mouthwatering three-course menu includes favorites, such as the classic Pizza Bufala DOP e Pomodoro and Pappardelle al Ragu, all prepared with organic, natural ingredients. Didn’t think it could get better than that, right? Well, guests who bring their check within 30 days of dining get a complimentary glass of wine or cocktail with lunch, brunch or dinner! See the full menus here.

Those looking to satisfy their carnivorous cravings can do just that at STK Midtown, where the fancy steakhouse is offering a lunch menu with entrées like the Classic Burger with aged cheddar, tomato and onion; or the Confit Chicken Sandwich with bbq sauce and spicy slaw.
