New Happy Hour Menus Just in Time for Summer in NYC

For the perfect post-shopping drinks, pre-dinner snacks or afternoon pick me up, below is our list of the newest happy hour offerings across the city that you won’t want to miss out on this summer.


District Local 

When: Daily 4-7 pm

What:Offering a menu of Mediterranean-inspired small plates and craft cocktails, District Local in Chelsea is perfect for grabbing after-work drinks. Available daily from 4-7 pm, guests can enjoy happy hour specials at the bar like $6 select draft beers, $7 house wines, $6 well drinks and the signature cucumber gimlet and hibiscus margarita for $8. Bar snacks are also available like deviled eggs($4) with saffron, chicharrones ($5) with mint yogurt, and foie mousse ($14) with date molasses.



When: Monday-Thursday 3-6pm

What: The chef’s counter located at Gotham West Market offers a selection of Happy Bites like fried chickpeas or smashed potatoes with parmesan or Panini like Mushroom and Ricotta Panini and Spicy Pork Panini with pickled peppers for under $12 each. All beers are $5 and wines between $9 and $10. Look out for a rotating menu of Italian inspired bar snack specials like Arancini and Fried Artichokes to pair with summer sips.


Le Coq Rico

When: Monday-Friday 4-7pm

What: The modern French bistro has launched a brand new Happy Hour menu that includes $8 dishes like Rustic Toast with Provençale Piperade, Charcuterie Board with choice of wild boar lonzo, duck saucisson, smoked duck breast and duck prosciutto served with pickles, Curry Chicken Croquettes, Vegetable Crudité with yogurt sauce and Truffle Popcorn, alongside $6 beers and $10 wine and cocktails.

Virgil’s Real BBQ 

When: Monday-Friday 3-6 pm

What: At Times Square’s most beloved barbecue restaurant Virgil’s Real BBQ, guests can now enjoy a new weekday happy hour from 3 pm to 6 pm and late night from 9:30 pm to close. Guests can beat the heat with Summer slushies ($8) in flavors such as Frozen Margarita, Frozen Skyy Lemonade, Bacardi Lime in the Coconut, and Bacardi Pina Colada, pints of Modelo Especial and Virgil’s Ale for $6, a Summer Bucket of five Corona and Corona Light beers for $25, house red or white wine for $8, and shots of Wild Turkey ($6) and Bacardi Lime ($5). Food specials include their signature trainwreck fries ($6.95), BBQ nachos ($6.95), BBQ chicken wings ($6.95), trash ribs ($6.95) and hush puppies ($5.95).


Hudson Yards Grill

When: Monday-Friday 4:30-7pm

What: Michael Lomonaco’s American grill located in New York’s newest neighborhood is serving up $10 cocktails like the HYG Tom Collins, Daiquiri and Lavender Margarita, select wines by the glass for $8 and draft beers for $5 alongside bar snacks like wasabi peas and mixed nuts


Brooklyn Chop House

When: Sun-Wed:11:30 am-11:00 pm; Thurs, Fri. and Sat. 11:30 am-midnight (at the bar only)

What: This 10-seat exclusive open-to-close happy hour that includes an entire shelf of $10 Grey Goose, Dewar's, Plymouth Gin, and Vida Tequila cocktails to choose from, in addition to any of the restaurant's dumplings in multiple varieties including pastrami, French onion soup and Pac Man seafood dumplings for $10 and $10 chicken satays at the bar.


The Morgan Cafe at The Morgan Library & Museum

When: Fridays in July from 4-8pm

What: As a picturesque escape from our digitally-overrun lives, The Morgan Library & Museum serves as a literary and artistic oasis in New York City’s Murray Hill, making this a great “cocktail hour” escape for so many New Yorkers, especially with free admission on Fridays! Every Friday in July, The Morgan Bar, offers a special late lunch, early evening Cocktail Hour menu entitled Sliders, Shakes & Shandies, which features three Snake River Beef Sliders, and a choice of a mini milkshake or a grilled Shandy for $14.


Bar Feroce at Moxy Chelsea

When:  Summer Happy Hour: Sunday – Saturday, 3– 6pm

Late Night Happy Hour: Sunday – Wednesday, 9pm – Close

What: This Summer happy hour is getting an Italian twist: Bar Feroce at Moxy Chelsea, located in New York’s famed Flower District, has a happy hour every day to create long-lasting summer memories. Available Sunday- Saturday from 3pm to 6pm, guests can enjoy ½ off Suppli a rice ball filled with mozzarella and tomato served with three homemade mayos, and Crostoni like Cetara made with Stracciatella cheese, Cetara anchovies and crispy parley. Enjoy $8 select specialty cocktails and prosecco by the glass or $5 select beers. For those night owls, Late Night Happy Hour at Bar Feroce is the perfect treat. Every Sunday through Wednesday from 9pm to close, guests who purchase a bottle of wine or champagne will receive a complimentary Suppli to snack on.
