High Tide Rolls in on Thursdays at Forty Four

You don’t have to be a guest at Royalton in Midtown to enjoy its luxurious lobby lounge.

Forty Four has been a hot spot for evening drinks, whether to unwind after work or enjoy a romantic date night. There are over a dozen cocktails, as well as wine, beer and champagne offered on a nightly basis. Thursday, though, Forty Four adds a little taste of the sea to the mix.

This summer every Thursday through Aug. 4, from 4:00 pm-11:00 pm, Forty Four hosts High Tide at Royalton. Guests can enjoy a market fresh raw bar menu curated by Executive Chef Vanessa Miller.

This limited menu features oysters “Royale” with Mottra caviar, yuzu and truffle. There are also oysters on the half shell with raspberry cocktail sauce, fluke crudo, as well as crab cake sliders served on brioche with apple-kimchi slaw. Fans of clams should try the “not so New England clam chowder” with leeks and black truffle.

If you are in the mood to treat your date—or yourself—this summer to the finer things in life, splurge on the caviar service. The Mottra caviar is served with whipped crème fraiche, chives, pickled red onion and Cape Cod chips. Pair that with a half bottle of Krug Grande Cuvee or some Veuve Clicquot (both French champagnes) and you’ll be all set.

The lounge’s bar service may be open nightly, but High Tide only comes once a week.
