As with anything in life, as I’ve gotten older my tastes have changed. In the past, a night out with friends would normally consist of a standard cocktail or beer at a bar. Now, I often opt for a nice, complex glass of wine while enjoying my down time. Add amazing cuisine to the occasion and it’s even better, so I can't wait until next Thursday, April 18th, for the Wine Australia event at Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse. The restaurant and wine agency have paired to bring foodies and wine connoisseurs a night of delectable hors d’oeuvres (think Australian sausage rolls, mini lobster rolls, bacon-wrapped quail breasts and bbq prawns) as well as more than 30 wines from the Land Down Under. Plus, the night will include Aboriginal dance, music and art. The festivities take place at Vic & Anthony’s from 6:30 to 9 p.m. and cost $65 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
