Get Your Guactail On at Dos Caminos

#guactailing – The summer trend you definitely want to be a part of!

Dos Caminos has launched a brand new Guactailing menu that features refreshing margartias and sangria, as well as four flavorful guacamoles, all made with California Avocados. This delicious mix of guacamole and cocktails will have you craving guactail hour all day long.

Think of guactailing as a combination of Happy Hour and pre-gaming all rolled into one, but instead of beer and bar food, you can enjoy yummy cocktails and fresh creamy guacamole. It’s the perfect menu for snacking before a show, watching a game on one of Dos Caminos’ tvs, relaxing after work or when you just want some good guacamole—which, if you’re like me, is all the time.

Dos Caminos has declared Thursday June 30 “Guactailing Day” and is offering FREE guacamole from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm at all five of their NYC locations! This is a great opportunity for guac lovers to get their fix as they head into the holiday weekend and try the fun guac flavors on this new menu that you can enjoy all summer long.

For traditionalists, Doc Caminos offers their tasty plain guacamole served with a trio of salsas and warm corn tortilla chips. But then things get kicked up a notch with other fun flavors...

La Flaca, served with sliced cucumber chips, is made with watermelon, ginger, mint and queso fresco. Each mouthful tastes like summer, with the crisp cucumber and burst of fresh watermelon.

For bacon-lovers, try the Campechano, which is made with smoked bacon and chorizo and served with in-house made chicarrones (fried pork rinds—yum). 

An equally savory, but still light and zesty option is the Langosta, which has steamed Maine lobster, grilled corn, mango and fresh basil. Served with plantain chips, these flavors combine to make a tasty bite.

I’m a huge fan of slushy drinks, and my frozen prickly pear margarita paired perfectly with all the guacamoles. Also on the menu are the El Camino (with Milagro Blanco Tequilla), Organic (Casa Noble Blanco Tequilla), Honeydew and Grilled Grapefruit margaritas, as well as rosé sangria. These summery libations are as pretty as they are delectable.

While the guactailing can be enjoyed all summer at all five Dos Caminos NYC locations, make sure to check out their “Guactailing Day” celebration on June 30. Every location will have free samples of the guacamole, happy hour drinks and DJs. Dos Caminos in SoHo is throwing a beach party to accompany the “Guactailing Day” festivities, complete with sand on the patio, and an outdoor grill cooking up Mexican street corn and tacos.
