Dining Out On Christmas Day

Dining Out On Christmas Day

Christmas can still feel like Christmas even if you don’t spend half the day slaving over the stove. If you want to bypass hours spent in the kitchen, check out one of the many NYC restaurants open on Christmas Day—serving up festive fare and creative specialties. MEGU, a Japanese eatery with locations in TriBeCa and Midtown, is offering diners a special eight-course Omakase prix fixe menu. Each course was picked to highlight the chef’s signature dishes, as well as MEGU’s tender Satsuma Wagyu “Kagero” steak. For reservations, call 212.964.7777. For contemporary Italian cuisine right across the street from Madison Square Park, head to SD26 Restaurant & Wine Bar. The restaurant is serving a special Christmas Day menu, which you can view here. In Midtown West, The Marshal uses seasonal ingredients and natural preparation to serve up farm-to-table cuisine. The restaurant will be open today from 2 to 10 p.m. and the à la carte menu will be served. You can find out more here. For a meatless Christmas Day dinner, the West Village’s Gobo is a must. On the flip side, carnivorous cuisine can be had at Virgil’s, the famed barbecue joint near Times Square.
