Cream Puffs Galore at Beard Papa’s

Cream Puffs Galore at Beard Papa’s

A lot can be said for aimlessly walking around New York City. A few years ago while taking a stroll around the Upper West Side, my curiosity was peaked when I stumbled past a shop called Beard Papa’s, complete with a cartoon-like drawing of an smiling elderly gentleman with a white beard and yellow cap. I entered the shop and was immediately struck by the heavenly smell of fresh pastries, namely the store’s signature cream puffs. This is the perfect spot to grab the sweet treats, which are filled with cream right in front of patrons. The eatery showcases five flavors at a time, with the selection rotating every two weeks. “The Original”—a delicate puff filled with vanilla custard—is always popular. For a walk on the wild side, opt for one of the seasonal selections; Montelanc—a chestnut puff—is proving to be a winter favorite. For more on the cream puffs and other tasty treats, click here.
