Christmas Dinner in NYC

Christmas Dinner in NYC

If you’re spending the holidays in NYC, there are plenty of restaurants in the city that will serve up festive fare in honor of Christmas tomorrow. Check out a few below.

You can enjoy sparkling holiday lights plus festive bites at Charlie Palmer at The Knick tomorrow. Chef Cliff Denny has prepared an opulent three-course dinner featuring holiday specials like Long Island Duck Breast with braised endive and black truffle. You can enjoy the feast while gazing out at the twinkling lights of 42nd Street from the restaurant’s fourth-story windows. Dinner will be served from 2 to 8 p.m. To view the menu, click here.

Who says you can’t have sushi on Christmas? If you’re craving the Japanese staple, head to SUSHISAMBA in the West Village. In addition to the à la carte menu, foodies can savor seasonal delights like Seared Long Island Foie Gras served with toasted Peruvian panetón, apricot chutney and a sauternes-aguaymanto sauce; and Whole Roasted Poussin Adobado served over winter vegetables and finished with a mustard-aji mirasol au jus. Wash it all down with the Sesame Sour, a creative elixir with Japanese Whisky, lemon, egg white and hints of toasted sesame. Check out the menu here.

In Gramercy, BLT Prime will be open from 5 to 9:30 p.m. tomorrow and serve a three-course, prix fixe menu full of fancy fare like Pan Seared Diver Scallops, Braised Lamb Shank and Gnocchi, with Sage Bechamel and Gruyere. To view the complete menu, click here.

For Northern Italian cuisine, opt for a trip to East 12th Osteria in the East Village. The three-course Christmas menu includes Carpaccio di Vitellone (Young Beef Carpaccio with Baby Vegetable Crudité, Walnuts and Parmigiano Shavings); Filetto di Cernia Nera di Fondale in Sugo di Crostacei (Black Bass Fillet in a Crustacean Jus), and more.

If you’re in the mood for some finger lickin’ good ribs, then you’re in luck—Virgil’s Real Barbecue in Midtown West will be open from 11 a.m. to midnight tomorrow. This is plenty of time to indulge in Executive Chef Neal Corman's Christmas special of Baby Back Ribs, which are smoked and glazed with a sweet and lightly spiced apricot barbecue sauce.

I’m sure you’re pretty hungry after reading the above list. If you’re looking for a place to dine tonight, visit Philip Marie. The restaurant is serving a special Christmas Eve menu teeming with mouthwatering selections like Grilled Rack of Venison, California Stuffed Red Snapper Filet and more.
