Give Back This Holiday Season

Give Back This Holiday Season

The holiday season is a time for giving, and Truman’s Gentlemen’s Groomers, a guy-friendly grooming salon in Manhattan, wants to give thanks to men in uniform—from policemen and firemen to active and retired military servicemen and emergency medical teams. The grooming salon has partnered with the Bob Woodruff Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring injured service members, veterans and their families are thriving, for the charitable event “Calling All Heroes.”

Anyone can nominate a hero in their life who they feel is deserving, and heroes can also nominate themselves. Three winners will be chosen for a full day of head-to-toe grooming services at the salon. Entries must be 200 words or fewer and include a photo that inspires the word “hero." All nominees must be an official New York City or tri-state area firefighter, police officer, emergency medical team member or serve in the US Military to enter. The entry deadline is Jan. 15 and winners will be announced Jan. 25.

If you’re not a serviceman but want to indulge in a little pampering, the Midtown East salon is the perfect place for fellas—evoking a classic barbershop vibe. While there, you can enjoy male-oriented spa services, including haircuts and styling, expert shaves, manicures and pedicures, beard trimming and even shoe shines. Visitors can also enjoy complimentary beverages while tuned into ESPN and CNBC. The grooming salon also has a location on Madison Avenue.
