Valentine’s Day in Times Square

Valentine’s Day in Times Square

This Valentine’s Day, the busy Midtown streets will be buzzing with romance at LOVE in Times Square. Grab your Valentine and head to the Crossroads of the World for love-inspired attractions, deals and artwork.

For the past few years, the Times Square Alliance has chosen artists to design a romantic installation piece for display. This year, Brooklyn designers Young Projects created Match-Maker, a giant heart-shaped sculpture made of periscopes, on view through March 11th. Visitors are encouraged to look through the scope representing their zodiac sign to find the four astrological signs that would be their best matches.

Leading up to February 14th, couples had the opportunity to sign up to propose or get married in Times Square. Visit the area today to see ten couples’ proposals broadcast on a big screen or a wedding held in front of the Match-Maker sculpture. If you’re inspired to pop the question yourself, email events@timessquarenyc.org for more information.

Save at nearby shops and restaurants with Valentine’s deals for couples. Shops like Swatch and Martinique Jewelers will offer exclusive items for sale, while restaurants like La Pulperia will feature a special pre-fixe menu. Stop by Shake Shack for dessert and receive a coupon for a free cup or cone of custard.
