The Discovery of King Tut Exhibition Now Open at Premier Exhibitions 5th Avenue

History buffs and fans of archeology can step back in time atThe Discovery of King Tut exhibition, which opened this past weekend at Premier Exhibitions 5th Avenue.

The new exhibition, which transports visitors from the bustling streets of Manhattan to ancient Egypt, offers a comprehensive glance at one of the world’s most fascinating discoveries. Archaeologist Howard Carter discovered the undisturbed tomb of Tutankhamun—the boy king who reigned for a decade and died suddenly at the age of 19—nearly a century ago. Today, visitors to the new exhibition will feel as if they were there in the Valley of the Kings during this historic excavation.

The comprehensive exhibition features more than one thousand replicas and reconstructions, including the exact reconstructions of three tomb chambers that reveal themselves just as the discoverers saw them. An experience for all the senses, the exhibition also includes a radioplay-like audio tour based on Howard Carter's diaries, as well as video documentaries, extensive texts and object descriptions.

A series of lectures by renowned Egyptologists, a gallery featuring the special relationship between New York and King Tut, tours and special events also accompany the exhibition.

The Discovery of King Tut is scheduled to run thru May 1, 2016. For tickets, click here.
