Summer Fun Savings Courtesy of NJ TRANSIT

Sure everyone has heard of NJ Transit—the major public transportation system that operates bus, light rail and commuter rail services, which whisks passengers to pretty much everywhere in the Garden State, plus parts of Pennsylvania and, of course, the millions of commuters that call Jersey home but work in the Big Apple. But, did you know that this sprawling transit system offers travelers plenty of fun package deals to enjoy summer in some of Jersey’s most popular attractions? Well, now you do and below is a little more info.

Travelers headed to the beach this summer can save up to $6.50 with a Beach Package, which includes round-trip train transportation and discounted admission to the beach in Long Branch, Asbury Park, Ocean Grove, Bradley Beach or Belmar.

Those that would prefer a day at the track are in luck, as travelers can also save $5.50 with a Monmouth Park Racetrack Package, which includes round-trip train transportation, grandstand admission and official program. For more info on Monmouth Park, click here.

Adrenaline junkies who want to ride a rollercoaster or cool off at a water park can do just that for a fraction of the cost thanks to NJ TRANSIT. With a savings of $35, its Six Flags Packages include round-trip bus transportation and admission to Six Flags Great Adventure & Safari or Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, both in Jackson, NJ.

Just because kids are on summer break doesn’t mean they can’t learn something. The young and young at heart can explore four floors of fun at the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City. NJ TRANSIT customers can save $3 per person for up to four admission passes when they show proof of travel on NJ TRANSIT (think ticket, pass or fare receipt) at the Liberty Science Center Box Office.
