Saturday, April 15

Think 'N' Fun's Annual Egg Hunt (Harlem): Think ’N’ Fun is an event-planning company run by two women who focus on putting on family-friendly activities and classes. Pre-register your little one(s) for one of five waves of Easter egg hunting where kids of all ages can search for eggs, enjoy light snacks and beverages, get their hand or cheek festively painted or decorated, in addition to getting their photo taken with the Easter Bunny. This is a ticketed event and will stick to a schedule to keep the egg hunt organized. Baskets will be provided. Sakura Park, at North Riverside Drive, 917.830.6485

Barnyard Egg Hunt at the Queens County Farm Museum (Glen Oaks, Queens): Advanced tickets are required to participate in the egg hunt happening at the Museum’s orchard—and don’t forget to bring a basket! Get a photo taken with Whiskers the Bunny, take part in egg tosses and egg rolling games, face painting, crafts, in addition to a hayride and the chance to visit with farm animals. Food vendors, pony rides and the petting zoo are not covered in the ticket price, so make sure you have cash on hand! 73-50 Little Neck Parkway, 718.347-3276

Sunday, April 16

Easter Parade (Midtown): Channel Irving Berlin’s classic lyrics “In your Easter bonnet, with all the frills upon it, You'll be the grandest lady in the Easter parade.” Ladies and gentlemen can don their finest Easter headwear and participate in NYC’s famed Easter Parade, which heads north on Fifth Avenue from 49th St. to 57th St. The parade starts at 10 am and lasts until 4 pm. It’s free to watch and free to participate in, should you want to strut your stuff in your own Easter bonnet.

Year-Round

Tisch Children's Zoo at the Central Park Zoo (Central Park/Upper East Side): Potbellied pigs, Nubian goats and the Patagonian cavy—an adorable large rodent the size of a small dog—are just some of the critters found in the Tisch Children’s Zoo. Kids can crawl, jump and climb about certain exhibits in this extra family-friendly section of the Central Park Zoo. There are total experience packages that gain guests access to the main zoo, the Tisch Children’s Zoo and one entry to the 4D theater. Central Park at Fifth Ave. & E. 64th St., 718.220.5100
