Romantic Dinner Dates
Dining out is always fun, but especially on Valentine’s Day. If you’re a fan of risotto and champagne, you can have them both in a decadent dish at The St. Regis New York’s Astor Court. Stop by and enjoy the Champagne Risotto, featuring savory mascarpone and Parmesan cheese paired with sweet champagne and garnished with gold flakes. If you want to top off the dish with some fancy add-ons, Butter Poached Maine Lobster or Urbani Black Truffles are available. Executive Chef James Ortiaga recommends diners request the 2009 Louis Roedered Brut Rosé, which gives the dish a soft rose hue.

In the heart of Rockefeller Center, Del Frisco’s Grille New York will feature the Cupid’s Cocktail, a lovely elixir featuring Stoli Razberi, pomegranate juice and orange juice, as well as a Triple Chocolate Decadence dessert (think Chocolate Brownie, Chocolate Pudding, Fudge and Chocolate Heart) during dinner on Saturday, February 13 and Sunday, February 14. For those that prefer dinner before dessert, the complete menu, featuring Red Velvet Belgian Waffles, Cheesesteak Eggrolls and Truffle-Chive Deviled Eggs, will also be available.

In Midtown West, Beautique, a beautiful New American restaurant, is showing couples some love by offering a prix fixe Valentine’s Day menu including delectable bites such as a Seared Foie Gras appetizer, Duck Breast main course, Strawberry Shortcake dessert and more. The restaurant will also offer the Black Truffle Mac & Kisses, a creamy dish of Black Truffle Mac and Cheese fried into the shape of a heart with champagne and red pepper sauce.

In the West Village, Wallflower is going all out with a Valentine’s Day tasting menu teeming with regional French fare available tonight, Saturday and Sunday. What to expect? The creatively named dish “Love Letters,” including Chicken Borscht Soup, X's and O's Pasta and Smoked Chicken Breast; Black Peppercorn Pappardelle Wild Boar Ragu with Grilled Treviso and Caramelized Onions; Veal Loin Roast with Mustard Cream, Baby Mustard Greens and Confit Sunchokes; and more hearty fare that’s sure to keep couples cozy.

Sweet Treats
Does your sweetie have a sweet tooth? If so, maybe skip the dozen roses and instead opt for a dozen baked goods from Breads Bakery. In honor of Valentine’s Day, the Union Square shop, which just opened an additional location on the Upper West Side, is offering plenty of love-inspired baked goods—from True Love Cookies, an assortment of decorated shortbread cookies, and Dark Chocolate Rocks (think dark chocolate truffles with crispy hazelnut filling, available in a four-pack or box of 12) to Marzipan Hearts, Raspberry Macarons and more.

If your S.O. is a chocoholic, stop by Hershey’s Chocolate World Times Square.  As you probably guessed, the store is devoted to all things Hershey—from Kisses to Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, which means you’re sure to find your beau’s fave candies in the store. The shop currently has some items decked out in Valentine’s Day colors (think Kisses with red, pink and silver wrappers), as well as cuddly teddy bears.

Amorous Activities
On Sunday, the De Gustibus Cooking School inside Macy's Herald Square is hosting “An Italian Love Affair: Franciacorta & Caviar” from 1 to 3 p.m. At the event, couples can feast on mouthwatering Russian caviar paired with Ca' del Bosco DOCG Franciacorta sparkling wines. The event is also open to those flying solo. And, just an FYI, couples that cook together stay together—so, after visiting the space, consider signing up for a cooking class.

You can experience an entire day of romantic fun at the Cornelia Spa at The Surrey on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The list of activities includes the chance to create your own bespoke scent and consult with perfumer and AromaM creator Maria McElroy (by appointment), shop Cornelia Spa gift certificates, indulge in romantic spa treatments enhanced with high-grade rose aromatherapy and more.
