Grand Central is sending summer off with a bang this month by offering seasonal deals and specials at its shops and restaurants. On August 22-24 from 11:30 am-2:30 pm, Grand Central Terminal will host a free, three-day event for the whole family that will be jam-packed with kid-friendly entertainment.

Kids will experience science demos and face painting in Vanderbilt Hall from vendor Kidding Around Toys, as well as Grand Central scavenger hunts and hands-on artifact discovery at the New York Transit Museum and more. Families will also enjoy live performances from the Broadway casts of “Wicked”, “School of Rock”, “Anastasia”, “Once On This Island”, among others.

Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase from Grand Central vendors, so don’t miss Zaro’s Bakery’s hot dogs and soda or Shake Shack’s frozen custard and lemonade. Five Grand Central themed prize packs will be given away daily during the event, but you must enter at the designated booth. Don’t forget to grab your free Grand Central gift with a $10 purchase from a Grand Central Summer Send-Off vendor. (Limit one gift per customer while supplies last. Gift redeemed at time of purchase.) For the full schedule and more information on entertainment and participating vendors, please click here.
