Event Alert: Wall Street Coin, Currency and Collectibles Show at the Museum of American Finance

I’m going to let you in on a little secret: I am horrible at math. So, I’ve always been fascinated by people who excel at careers that use the discipline. When I moved to New York City, I was immediately awestruck by the iconic institutions, history and math geniuses that can be found on Wall Street. If you’re anything like me and want to know more, head to the annual Wall Street Coin, Currency and Collectibles Show, the “Romance of Wall Street,” and the 2013 Anniversary Celebration of Important Global Companies at the Museum of American Finance October 17 thru 19. Admission to the museum is free throughout the event. At the show, international dealers will be trading, selling and telling stories about their coins, stock certificates, paper money, medals and autographs. The museum’s exhibitions of financial memorabilia will also be on display—an important attraction, as it will commemorate the Centennial of the Federal Reserve System, featuring the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. And, don’t miss the live auction, which will take place on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 10:30 a.m. and feature an extremely rare U.S. Treasury bond signed by George Washington!

See the Show, the Museum and the auction free on these days! Show hours are: Thursday, Oct. 17, noon to 7 p.m.; Friday, Oct. 18, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Saturday, Oct. 19, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information on the show, call 203.292.6819 or click here.
