Choose Your Own Quiet Clubbing Adventure

Quiet Events, the “Silent Disco Party Professionals and Rental Company,” is hosting the first ever Quiet Clubbing Music Festival on Saturday, August 27. Taking place at the Coney Art Walls in Brooklyn from 4 pm-midnight, guests will be able to dance, dance, dance all night long.

Quiet clubbing is when everyone in attendance has their own headphones on and the DJ’s music is played through said headphones instead of being blared at top volume to the whole venue. The headphoned individuals have control over how loud or soft they want their music while they dance. It’s a way for a large group of people to experience something together, but still very much on their own. And just because it’s quiet doesn’t mean you can’t talk to anyone else—just turn down your music or take off your headphones and have a normal conversation. There’s no need to shout over any music because there isn’t any loud music to shout over!

What’s cool about this Quiet Clubbing Music Festival is that there will be nine live DJs spinning three sets (Top 40 Dance Hits; Throwbacks and Mashups; Hip-Hop, R&B, Reggae, Soca). All of the headphones have color LED on them that indicate what channel you’re listening to so that you can dance with folks who are also jamming to the same music.

In addition to the generous selection of tunes, festivalgoers can enjoy face painting, LED robots with air canons, fire twirlers, LED hula dancers, glow in the dark gear, a photo booth and more! There is Quiet Yoga offered from 4 pm-5 pm that is free for the first 20 people there. (Yoga mats will be provided free of charge.)

All that yoga and dancing will make guests hungry and thirsty. To fulfill those needs, there will be three bars with full liquor service, as well as several food vendors—Dinosaur BBQ, Table 87 (pizza), Circle Café (Mediterranean), Calexico (Mexican) and Gianna’s Gourmet Italian Ice. (Note – the photo booth and food vendors are cash only. There will be two ATMs onsite, but it’s best to bring some with you in advance.

The Quiet Clubbing Music Festival is a 21+ party. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door, but it is advised to purchase them in advance. Those can be bought here.

The Coney Art Walls are located at 3050 Stillwell Ave. Tickets are $10-$50.
