If you are one of those people who fancies random facts, has a wealth of pop culture knowledge at your fingertips or just likes competing with other folks who also know a little—or a lot—about a lot of topics, then you’re probably a fan of trivia. New York City has a bunch of great spots where you and a group of friends can go and strut your Jeopardy-worthy stuff while having some drinks and enjoying yourselves. Here’s seven trivia-tastic locations around town:

Professor Thom’s Bar & Restaurant (East Village): This sports bar, popular among New England fans and U of M alumni, is a happening place on Wednesday nights (8:30 pm) when trivia-goers compete to win Thom’s gift cards. Trivia Night with Joe & Kathryn is free and teams may have up to six participants.

Double Wide Bar & Southern Kitchen (East Village/Alphabet City): Munch on small plates of southern food (Frito pie and the like) while partaking in Wednesday Night Trivia (8 pm). Prizes include bar tabs and free drinks.

Parkside Lounge (Lower East Side): On Wednesday nights (9:30 pm), Matt Finucane or Corm Mo host Trivia Quest Night, where teams of four folks or less compete for prizes and bragging rights.

Taproom No. 307 (Kips Bay): With more than 40 craft beers on draught, over 40 bottles available, as well as beer-infused dishes, there are plenty of drinks and eats to be had during Tuesday Trivia Nights (7:30-11:30 pm).

Pacific Standard (Park Slope, Brooklyn): Along with a poetry and fiction reading series, as well as stand-up comedy, Pacific Standard hosts a Sunday night (8 pm) pub quiz. Themes change weekly, but make sure you are up to par on your sports, pop culture and geography trivia to win bar tabs and free drinks.

Crocodile Lounge (Gramercy): Join in on the fun during Trivial Dispute on Wednesday nights (8:30 pm). Other free events during the week include open mic comedy and bingo.

Pete’s Candy Store (Williamsburg, Brooklyn): In addition to open mic nights, comedy showcases, a poetry series and more, Wednesday night Quizzo (7:30-9:30 pm) is among NYC’s best trivia. First, second and third prize winners earn bar tabs, and everyone has fun showing off their skills over six rounds with categories that include General Knowledge, Music, Top Tens and Visual Identification.
