Stay Warm with Mulberry’s New Collection

Whether you love or hate the colder months, one thing is certain: Autumn and Winter are the perfect seasons to add a few new frocks—from snuggly sweaters and tailored pants to structured handbags and more—to your closet. And, those in need of a new wardrobe, with some envy-inducing accessories to boot, should head to Mulberry—a British luxury brand and one-stop-shop for men’s and women’s apparel and accessories, with locations on tony Madison Avenue in Midtown, as well downtown outposts on Bleecker and Spring streets.

The retailer’s Autumn/Winter 2015 collection features a wide range of cozy fabrics—from shearling and leather to soft wool and mohair—and takes inspiration from Georgian interiors (think Rococo and neo-classical design elements). The bespoke Filigree motif found on several items—expertly incorporated into silk-screen print, woven jacquard and embroidery—was inspired by the cornicing, mouldings and white paintwork found on Georgian homes.

When it comes to outerwear, standouts from the ready-to-wear collection include the cream and light grey marl-hued Clarance Jacket, featuring a short double-breasted silhouette finished in intarsia-checked shearling; the Dixter Coat, with a hand-painted interpretation of the Filigree design on a base of rose petal pink; and the Farley Coat in cream boucle tweed. For even more warmth, the Panelled Knitted Roll Neck Jumper combines silk, alpaca and merino.

The perfect bag and a few new outfits go together like peanut butter and jelly, so, on the accessories front, Mulberry has introduced The Roxette. Inspired by the brand’s iconic Roxanne bag, the new accessory features shearling in rose petal or mole grey while the oversized version comes in calfskin leather.

The new collection also features more accessories, plus shoes, silk-twill scarves, dresses and more. Shop the looks at Mulberry or on its website.
