Marilyn Monroe™ Spa

Bring some beauty to your weekend with a day at the spa! Whether you’d like a new hairdo, a colorful manicure or a skincare revival, these six spas offer a variety of treatments. Pick the perfect place to pamper yourself:

Angelo David Salon: This hair salon offers plenty of services—from the basics like cuts and color to customized extensions and wigs. They even have their own line of products that includes special treatments for various hair types, including thinning hair. In addition to hair, Angelo David also provides manicures, makeup applications and brow shaping. Schedule a private consultation for a completely customized salon experience.

BoutiqueBody+: This intimate spa is essentially a one-stop shop for almost any and every beauty treatment imaginable. From simple manicures to more intensive services, BoutiqueBody+ offers everything from acupuncture and Botox injections to hair extensions and a non-invasive Plasmalite FPL Laser treatment that corrects things like acne scars and Rosacea.

Cygalle Healing Spa: Cygalle’s mobile spa offers quick and efficient services, like mini-facials, massages and hot stone treatments. The hot stone treatment uses infrared energy and oils to keep you looking and feeling alert—plus the tool used to apply them vibrates just slightly for a light massage. The spa’s products are available for purchase on their site and a NYC location is in the works.

Dermalogica: The SoHo location of this skin care company provides services like face mapping. This complimentary service lasts about 5-10 minutes, during which a skin therapist will determine the best treatment for your unique skin type. Afterward, you’re free to purchase the products suggested or peruse Dermalogica’s selection of cleansers, toners, moisturizers, masques and more for yourself.

Wellington Hair Spa

Marilyn Monroe™ Spa: One of Manhattan’s newest hotels, Hyatt Times Square New York, recently opened a tranquil, full-service spa, spanning 6,000 square feet. Named for beauty icon Marilyn Monroe, the spa offers over 100 treatments, from nail, face, hair and body services to Gemstone Massage.

Wellington Hair Spa: Specializing in African American hair, 27-year industry vet Patrick Wellington opened up shop in Chelsea eight years ago. In his career, Wellington has acquired an impressive list of clients, including singer Stephanie Mills, up-and-coming actress Nicole Beharie and a few Broadway performers.
