On May 9-12, prepare to be amazed at the upcoming festival “Explore Islands Philippines” featuring the Philippines’ best at the Vanderbilt East Hall of Grand Central Terminal. Aptly named “Explore Islands Philippines,” this exposition aims not only to showcase the country’s rich cultural heritage, but also to encourage international trade and business expansion. Come and enjoy hourly entertainment shows, Philippine arts and crafts, scheduled traditional dances and martial arts, educational workshops and vendor booths at the iconic and bustling transportation hub.

The Philippines has one of the fastest growing economies in Southeast Asia, and “Explore Islands Philippines” intends to take advantage of this fact by promoting tourism, fostering collaboration with business insiders and developing programs that will benefit communities in Philippines. The 7,641 POSSIBILITIES campaign will focus on bringing the best of the Philippines to the world. Unlike most expos, the entire event—representing every category of the Philippine culture, products, and industries—will take place where more than 770, 000 commuters pass through everyday.

There will also be a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 9th and the guest of honor will be HRH Princess Katarina of Yugoslavia and Serbia; Princess Katarina is the President of the London Guild of Tourism and Travel. This is a free event and tickets are not required. So while you’re exploring and shopping at Grand Central, take a stroll through the exhibition and discover the beautiful islands of the Philippines.
